On January 2016 Golden Cargo S.A. was appointed Lufthansa Cargo’s Business Partner.

On Thursday 11th of February 2016 Mr. Schmidt and Mr. Gjylbegaj handed over the certificate to the management of Golden Cargo, Mr. Theodoros Veniamis, President & CEO of Golden Union Group, Mr. Michalis Veniamis, Director of Golden Union Group and Mr. Konstantinos Achladitis, Managing Director of Golden Cargo.
The award ceremony took place in Athens, Greece. The selection criteria were based not only upon the transported tonnage figures but also focused on the degree of digitalization of air freight processes.
